IIE® Takes Banco Promerica To The Next Level

21 09 2010
Banco Promerica of El Salvador is a company that understands the power of positive thinking. In 2002 Banco Promerica prioritized Customer Service Excellence Culture as a dominant driver of their vision and mission. Since that time, they have been recognized nationwide as one of the best banks in the country for delivering a consistently high level of customer service and have successfully grown the bank from 130 million in total assets to almost 400 million today.

The successes they experienced by a commitment to this goal has served as an excellent platform to launch them to the next level. By happenstance, Banco Promerica owner Ramiro Ortiz visited the Tice Ranch last year which launched a new journey for Grupo Promerica. It was “the dawn of a new culture in our company,” Ortiz later shared with his management team.

Ortiz asked Banco Promerica Executive Director Oscar Orozco to champion the implementation of The Pacific Institute (TPI) curriculum. Orozco attended Escalando El Siguiente Nivel in Leon, Mexico, “was captivated by the concepts and philosophy of The Pacific Institute and Mr. Lou Tice.” After returning from Mexico, Orozco started the ball rolling with an aggressive agenda to bring not only Investment in Excellence (IIE®) but also Pasos® Hacia el Éxito to  five  thousand employees of Banco Promerica locatedin El Savador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic.

Since then, El Salvador has trained over two hundred of its employees, Nicaragua has trained 240 and this week Orozco is headed to Costa Rica to begin the training process there. The company is having one their best years in its history. Their earnings as of August 30, 2010 are the highest they have seen and it looks like the year-end earnings will be double that which they projected at the beginning of the year prior to Investment in Excellence®. Banco Promerica is encouraged by the immediate and positive staff results and by the excellent ratings the program and the trainers are getting from the attendees.
